There is both an upgrade (which is free if you own some version of the game) and you can buy it solely for PS5 (if you are a new buyer and don't own any version of the game). The PS5 version plays a bit better. More consistent framerate on performance mode (makes parrying better/more consistent). Haven't tried quality mode.
