I'm having exact same issue of S-Max 1.8tdci year 2007 cutting out when we slow down typically to come into a motorway toll after having driven at good speed for approx 2 hours. The engine turns over but won't start. Leave it for maybe 10mins and it will start a bit sluggish but will recover to normal on applying a bit of throttle.
I have a 2010 Ford Fusion that randomly stoped starting. It will turn over and crank but will not start. I droveit home and then 20 minutes later went to get in it and it would not start at all. I changed spark plugs checked compression, checked ignition coils replaced the crank and the cam sensor, and replaced the battery.
Hi All, I recently purchased a 2011 Ford Mondeo 1.6 TDCI. It is the Econetic model with Start Stop. My problem is that the Start Stop is inoperative. I understand that this system constantly monitors battery state of charge and that it will not function below 72% SOC.
2011 Mk3 Titanium 1.6 TDCi. Car apparently has stop-start (Button on dash to disable it) but in the few weeks I've had the car it's never actually happened, even with aircon/nav/cd/lights off. The button (an A with a circle round it) lights up when I turn the system off, as expected. Battery voltage is 14.2v (off), 16.8v (idle).
